Thank you for everyone's support - without you, we would not be able to offer such a great week for the special needs community.
With nearly 1,600 handicapped participants, with various types of disabilities, we need lots of responsible volunteers each day. Horse experience is not required of all volunteers, as we have other areas that do not include horses. Also, if you have any special talents you would like to offer, we are always looking for more activities for the children, such as clowns, face painting, and magicians.
We are going to be using Eventbrite for registration this year. Please click on the link above or scan the QR code at the bottom of the page to sign up. No forms will be emailed or faxed this year. When signing up please use an email that you are able to check frequently for updates pertaining to the event. REMEMBER the Horses for Handicapped wavier MUST BE COMPLETED prior to the event. The event is held at the Rankin County Multi-Purpose Pavilion Horse Park at 649 Marquette Rd, Brandon, MS 39042. All volunteers need to arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. and stay until 1:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted by an HFH representative.
Teachers/Chaperones with an individual/group of PARTICIPANTS should be included on the Participant form, not Volunteer.
A Horses For Handicapped Volunteer Release of Liability (Waiver) form MUST BE COMPLETED for an individual to participate. This form is available for download below. Please print and bring completed waiver with you the day of the event
Complete the Waiver form for individuals, teachers, and chaperones. The form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian for a minor.
Volunteer groups need to arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. on your scheduled day.
Please make sure you register an accurate number of volunteers, leaders, and teachers that will be attending, as we base our meal tickets on the number you provide. Meal tickets are provided only for those registered through Eventbrite.
Dress for women/girls is long pants and closed-toe shoes. No purses or backpacks.
For all volunteers HFH is not responsible for lost items.
NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY is allowed in the riding arena!
Instruct volunteers to leave their cell phones at home. We need everyone's full attention on our riders and attendees.
No Volunteers under the age of 18 without a responsible adult present.
Volunteers with Schools or Groups are to be responsible 7th graders or above.
