Thank you for everyone's support - without you, we would not be able to offer such a great week for the special needs community
With nearly 1,600 handicapped participants, with various types of disabilities, we need lots of responsible volunteers each day. Horse experience is not required of all volunteers, as we have other areas that do not include horses. Also, if you have any special talents you would like to offer, we are always looking for more activities for the children, such as clowns, face painting and magicians.
The event is held at the Rankin County Multi Purpose Pavilion Horse Park at 649 Marquette Rd, Brandon, MS 39042. All volunteers need to arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. and stay until 1:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted by an HFH representative.
For your convenience you can register online or download the Volunteer Form and return the completed form by faxing it to 601.898.8041. Teachers/Chaperones with an individual/group of participants should be included on the Participant form, not Volunteer.
A Horses For Handicapped Volunteer Release of Liability (Waiver) form MUST BE COMPLETED for an individual to participate. This form is available for download below.
Complete the Waiver form for individuals, teachers and chaperones. The form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian for a minor.
Volunteer groups need to arrive no lather than 8:30 a.m. on your scheduled day.
Please make sure you give us an accurate number of volunteers, leaders and teachers that will be attending, as we base our meal tickets on the number you provide. Meal tickets are provided only for those listed above.
